We had to design a capsule to spend a night in on a summer night. I wanted something to protect from the sun but also to play with light. What would create an interesting view while laying down inside?


I decided on different pipes with different sizes and leghts to make a really organic, shape shifting piece. Making for a playfull and interesting form.

This organic shaped capsule doubles as a sculpture. I would place this in in a park for example.

The capsule can be used to lay inside and experience the visual experience of the organic structures with different sizes and placements making for a random flow.

The difference in size of both the cilinders lenght and diameter will also allow for an interesting play of light coming into the capsule through these holes.

The capluse can also be used by children to play pretend inside as a fort or house. They can also choose to climb on the outside of the capsule.
