This bar is the perfect place for science fiction/ fantasy fans to unwind and enjoy. A place where you can have drinks and a nice snack while being in a space that offers you the experience of being in a different world. The bar will exist out of two separate spaces with one being the dark side and the other the light side. The dark side being themed with the villains and bad guys and the light side being themed with the good guys and heroes. Both spaces looking completely different. The bar would not have just one movie or series as theme, but multiple ones. With there being endless different references for real fantasy and science fictions geeks to figure out and spot. Making it not just a bar which makes you feel like you’re not on this planet but mentally stimulating you as well. With the different references to different fictional worlds, it’s like a bar/portal. Or a bar inside of a portal between worlds. Or the bar is a stop between portals.

A "portal" in science fiction and fantasy generally, refers to a technological or magical doorway that connects two distant locations separated by spacetime. It usually consists of two or more gateways, with an object entering one gateway leaving via the other instantaneously.

Every booth or table is a reference to a movie or series. Giving everyone an own name to sit at. So every time you go you can choose a different table to stand at or choose a different side for a totally different experience.

My building used to be the original location of the Bouwcentrum. Located in Rotterdam near Rotterdam Centraal by architect Joost Blok. The building is a huge hexagon with a diameter of 45 meters. The core of the building being a structure of 8 columns. These columns have two circular shaped floors. I placed dome shaped spaces on both floors. The domes have the function of closing of the space so you can really experience the idea of the bar. So, you really feel like you are not on earth. The bottom one being the dark side. A completely closed dome styled like a cave like fantasy bar. The top dome being shaped like a dome using a plant/tree like vibe but not closed, allowing the natural light from the open dome in the ceiling and the huge windows all around the sides to come in and add to the light side theme. This dome will be designed like a forest/ hobbit landscape/ nature etc.
